Exciting Learning Adventures in Year 3!
This term, Year 3 have a wonderful journey of discovery ahead, filled with hands-on learning and creative exploration!
Geography: We’ll develop our spatial sense, learning how to use maps, globes, and directions to understand the world around us. Then, we’ll explore settlements, discovering why towns and villages are located where they are and how they grow and change over time.
History: We’ll travel back in time to the Stone Age, uncovering how early humans lived, hunted, and created their first tools and art. Next, we’ll step into the world of Ancient Egypt, exploring pharaohs, pyramids, and the remarkable achievements of this ancient civilisation.
Science: We’re becoming scientists of the human body, learning about the skeleton, muscles, and how different systems work together to keep us alive and healthy. Later in the term, we’ll investigate the fascinating world of magnets, discovering how they push, pull, and interact with different materials.
Art: Later, we’ll study still life, observing everyday objects carefully and using shading, colour, and composition to bring them to life in our artwork.
It’s going to be an inspiring and adventurous term in Year 3!
