Exciting Learning Adventures in Year 3!


This term, Year 3 have an action-packed curriculum filled with exciting discoveries!


🌏 Geography: We’re exploring India and China, comparing their landscapes, rivers, and famous landmarks like the Great Wall of China. Later, we’ll journey to Western Europe, learning about its countries, cultures, and key geographical features.


⚔️ History: We’re diving into the thrilling War of the Roses, uncovering the key battles, the warring houses, and the roles of Richard III and Henry VII. We’ll also explore Law and Power, discovering how rulers and governments have shaped history.


🌿 Science: We’re becoming biologists, studying Plants—what they need to survive, how they transport water, and the fascinating process of pollination and seed dispersal. Later, we’ll investigate Life Cycles, learning how plants and animals grow and change.


🕎 RE: We’re exploring Judaism, looking at the symbols and stories that help Jewish people remember their covenant with God. In Hinduism, we’ll explore karma, understanding why Hindus aim to collect good karma through their actions and how it influences their future lives.


🏙️ Art: Our creativity will shine as we study Modern Architecture! From skyscrapers to bridges, we’ll design, draw, and even build our own model structures.


It is going to be a fabulous term in year 3.

A good website with lots of useful resources. It is designed to raise standards of numeracy across the country for both children and adults and it has specific areas for parents who want to help their children.
